About Pastor Darren

Hi, I’m Darren Plummer, Lead Pastor of Mosaic Community Church.  I’m married to my best friend, Marquita, and together we have three sons: Darren, Jr., Shawn, and Seth.

I’m a native Marylander, and attended Univ. of Maryland-College Park as a music major.  However, in my junior year, I met a fellow student who was a Christ-follower and whose life really had a major impact on me. I ended up leaving UMCP and transferring to a Bible college in the area that same year! I immediately got involved in ministry – first as a musician and worship leader, and later as a staff minister and pastor in various churches.

In the spring of 2002, after having helped start two churches here in Maryland, God began to burden my heart with the need for a dynamic, innovative, multicultural church, where people could learn God’s truths in relevant and creative ways, and live out His mission for their lives!

Mosaic Community Church is the reality of that dream that God gave me over four years ago…  Come live out this adventure with us, as we watch God do amazing things in and through the people here at Mosaicland!
